    FIRST Naval Construction Regiment

    AVALON, Calif. (March 1, 2019) Steelworker 3rd Class Jamie Ferguson, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 25, talks to Capt. Daryll Long, commodore, First Naval Construction Regiment, following a ceremony where she was recognized as part of the joint Navy and Marine Corps working party repairing the runway at Catalina Island off the coast of southern California. Seabees and Marines assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force (IMEF) are working together to reconstruct the runway at the airport as part of an innovative readiness training opportunity to benefit the service members and the community, a project expected to be completed spring 2019.
