AVALON, Calif. (March 1, 2019) Military vehicles are displayed outside of the hangar at Catalina Island's "Airport in the Sky" before a special event to recognize work performed by seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 25 and Marines assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) at the airport. Seabees and Marines are working together to reconstruct the runway at the airport as part of an innovative readiness training opportunity to benefit the service members and the community, a project expected to be completed spring 2019.
