SAN ANTONIO – (March 2, 2019) Aviation Warfare Special 2nd Class Joshua Young of Bandera, Texas, assigned to Navy Recruiting Station Georgetown, joined by Tony Bonazzi of Tomball, Texas, a math curriculum coordinator with Georgetown Independent School District, interviews Team Deep SeaPerch of Richarte High School on the build of their underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) during the Georgetown SeaPerch Regional Competition held at the Georgetown Recreation Center. The competition consisted of four evolutions: grading of teams’ engineer notebooks, the new mission, search and rescue challenge course, speed obstacle course, and interviews. Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio annually supports the competitions with divers and judges. After graduating from Bandera High School in 2012, Young joined America’s Navy becoming a recruiter in 2018.
