Coast Guard Cutter Munro navigates through the Oakland Estuary en route to the cutter’s homeport of Coast Guard Island in Alameda, Calif., following a 105-day, 17,000-nautical mile, multi-mission deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean, Dec. 24, 2018. During the patrol, Munro became the first U.S. Coast Guard asset to embark a Fijian navy shiprider under a newly signed bilateral agreement between the United States and Fiji, allowing Fijian officials to board United States’ assets and conduct law enforcement from them in Fiji’s territorial waters.
