FREDERICKSBURG, Texas – (Dec. 13, 2018) Congratulations to Chief Hospital Corpsman Jesse Friday (third from left) of San Antonio, assigned to Navy Officer Recruiting Station Austin, who was recognized as Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio’s 2018 Rookie Officer Recruiter of the Year during the NRD’s Annual Awards Banquet held at the Hangar Hotel and Convention Center. Presenting the awards were (left to right) Command Master Chief Eric Mays, NRD Commanding Officer Cmdr. Jeffrey Reynolds, and Chief Recruiter Master Chief Matthew Maduemesi. For his professional achievement, Friday, a 1997 graduate of Alamo Heights High School and 2001 graduate of Midwestern State University, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. NRD’s area of responsibility includes more than 30 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory. The Navy’s recruiting force totals over 6,100 personnel in more than 1,000 recruiting stations around the globe.
