U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Davis Fredregill, a tactical air control party radio operator, maintainer and driver, is currently deployed to Forward Operating Base Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. Fredregill, who calls Pueblo, Colo., home, is on his second deployment to Afghanistan since Joining the Air Force five years ago. State side, Fredregill is assigned to the 1st Air Support Operations Group, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. "The thing I love most about this deployment is the different atmosphere we have here. I'm an Airman working with the Army, and I think that's not typical." Tactical Air Control Party members provide assistance and expertise in planning and controlling combat air resources. They also operate and supervise communication nets to support Army ground maneuvers.
