    U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jacob Paul, a tactical air control party radio operator, maintainer and driver, is currently deployed to Forward Operating Base Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. Paul, who calls Kingman, Ariz., home, is on his first deployment since Joining the Air Force two years ago. State side, Paul is assigned to the 8th Air Support Operations Squadron, Aviano Air Base, Italy. "The thing I love most about this deployment is the opportunity I'm having to learn from very experienced people in my career field." Tactical Air Control Party members provide assistance and expertise in planning and controlling combat air resources. They also operate and supervise communication nets to support Army ground maneuvers.
