Air Force Pararescue Jumper trainees participate in the water confidence introductory course Aug. 16, at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The PJ indoctrination course is nine weeks long. Fewer than 20 percent of candidates complete the course. PJ training includes physiological training, obstacle course, marches, dive physics, dive tables, metric manipulations, medical terminology, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, weapons qualifications, PJ history and leadership reaction course.
