A military helicopter, identifiable as an HH-60 Pave Hawk (tail number 6472), is performing an aerial refueling operation over a desert mountain landscape. The helicopter's refueling probe is extended toward a drogue basket deployed from a tanker aircraft, from whose open ramp this photo appears to be taken. The terrain below suggests an arid southwestern United States environment, consistent with a training exercise.
