Hammud Muhammad Salih, a contractor with the Dawr Az Zawr Civil Council, demonstrates functioning water pressure to Coalition advisors at the Zir Water Pumping Station near Busayrah, Syria, April 21, 2018. The pumping station was inoperable the last time Coalition advisors visited on April 4 However, due to the work of DCC contractors, like Salih, this station now provides clean drinking water to nearly 20,000 Syrians, a positive step forward in the DCC’s mission to restore normalcy to the people of the Dawr Az Zawr region.
