A contractor with the Dawr Az Zawr Civil Council connects wires to a generator to demonstrate the functionality of the Zir Water Pumping Station to Coalition advisors near Busayrah, Syria, April 21, 2018. The pumping station was inoperable the last time Coalition advisors visited on April 4. However, due to the work of DCC contractors, this station now provides clean drinking water to nearly 20,000 Syrians, a positive step forward in the DCC’s mission to restore normalcy to the people of the Dawr Az Zawr region.
