KADENA AIR BASE, OKINAWA, Japan –Military Working Dog Bbutler plays with a toy as a reward for proper detection during narcotic detection training Feb. 13 on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. Bbutler and his handler conducted narcotic detection training utilizing five different narcotic training aides, ensuring that Bbutler was familiar with the training aides scent. Narcotics training allows MWD to react and respond immediately and appropriately when situations dictate. Bbutler’s unique name came from Lackland Air Force Base’s signature doubling of the first letter of the MWD’s name. (U.S Marine photo by Lance Corporal Tayler P. Schwamb)
