Scott Edgar, from the Pittsburgh District and working out of the Incident Support Base on Fort Buchanon, Puerto Rico, was on-hand the morning of Christmas Eve to ensure temporary emergency power teams were prepared for another day of installations, inspections and maintenance. On this day, more than 20 generators were scheduled to be loaded, delivered and installed to critical facilities throughout the island – the temporary emergency power team here recently exceeded 1,000 generators installed. The work is providing a critical need for the residents of Puerto Rico, but has exceeded any operation done before it and requiring dozens of teams to ensure the generators are inspected, maintained and fueled every day.
