171025-N-RN119-0389 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 25, 2017) Landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 34, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 4, approaches the well deck of the Whidbey Island class amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) during exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, NATO, allied and partner nations are a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
