171025-N-PM250-0917 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 25, 2017) Machinist's Mate Chief Russell Witowski, the craftmaster of Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) 54, attached to Assault Craft Unit 4, loads gear onto LCAC 54, attached to Assault Craft Unit 4, in preparation of offload. LCAC 54 and Combat Logistics Battalion 22 are on board the Whidbey Island class amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) in support of exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, NATO, allied and partner nations are a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
