California Army National Guardsmen from the 340th Brigade Sustainment Battalion, 115th Regional Support Group, listen as Aleana Carreon, executive director of the Sonoma Developmental Center, thanks the Soldiers for aiding the recovery of the Glen Ellen, California, home care facility. For nearly a week, Cal Guardsmen relocated tons of equipment, furniture and supplies, and performed other roles such as cleanup, transportation and grounds-keeping, to help the facility prepare to reopen its doors to displaced residents. “We couldn’t have done this without the help of the Guard. They have been very helpful since Day 1,” Carreron said. “They have been so polite and so generous to our staff and to the residents. They’ve been amazing since the day they got here.” (Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt Eddie Siguenza)
