170915-N-AY374-004 CARIBBEAN SEA (Sept. 20, 2017) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Tamara Toliver fires a shot line from the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) to the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS William McLean (T-AKE 12) during a replenishment-at-sea. Kearsarge is assisting with relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
