U.S. Army Sgt. Kevin Battle, 167th Theatre Sustainment Command, Fort McClellen, Ala., reads a mission document before participating in Exercise Vibrant Response, March 13. More than 1,400 service members traveled to Camp Atterbury to participate in the exercise. The exercise focuses on Department of Defense support of civil authorities in a consequence management role. The CCMRF is part of DoD's scalable response capability to assist civilian responders in saving lives, relieving human suffering and mitigating great property damage in response to a catastrophic CBRNE incident.
