U.S. Army Reserve Col. Bradley Nindl assumed command of the Southeast Medical Area Readiness Support Group from Col. Scott Lynn, the outgoing commander, during a Change of Command Ceremony on Saturday, August 26, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee. Following the passing of the colors, Col. Nindl led his Soldiers in the singing of the Army Song. The Change of Command ceremony symbolizes the continuation of leadership and unit identity despite the change of individual authority. It also represents the transfer of power from one leader to another; passing the ceremonial flag from outgoing to incoming commander is a physical representation of that transfer.
