U.S. Army Reserve Col. Scott Lynn, outgoing commander of the Southeast Medical Area Readiness Support Group, relinquishes command to Col. Bradley Nindl, the new commander for SE-MARSG headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., during a Change of Command ceremony held on Saturday, August 26, 2017. The Change of Command ceremony symbolizes the continuation of leadership and unit identity despite the change of individual authority. It also represents the transfer of power from one leader to another; passing the ceremonial flag from outgoing to incoming commander is a physical representation of that transfer.
