Ke Mei Luo, a soldier from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, work as a team to pull in another member from their group while rehearsing safe river exits during a white water rafting expedition conducted as part of Exercise Kowari 2017 Aug. 27, 2017. U.S. Marines and soldiers, along with soldiers from the Australian Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army worked together in teams to navigate the adverse waters, which built confidence and camaraderie between the participants.
