    U.S. Air Force flight nurses and aeromedical evacuation technicians with the 514th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (AES), 514th Air Mobility Wing, prepare to catch fellow Airmen sliding off the wing during a simulated ground fire on a KC-135R Stratotanker with the 77th Air Refueling Squadron (ARS), 916th Air Refueling Wing, at St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Aug. 26, 2017. During the mission, which ran from Aug. 25-27, the 514th AES flight nurses and aeromedical evacuation technicians were trained and evaluated on how they responded to both medical and aircraft emergencies while evacuating sick or wounded personnel from combat zones.
