    514th Air Mobility Wing

    U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Marquis D. Waters, Aeromedical Evacuation Technician, 514th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (AES), 514th Air Mobility Wing, attaches a pallet to a stanchion litter system for patient litters on a KC-135R Stratotanker with the 77th Air Refueling Squadron (ARS), 916th Air Refueling Wing, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J, for an aeromedical evacuation training mission to St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Aug. 25, 2017. During the mission, which ran from Aug. 25-27, the 514th AES flight nurses and aeromedical evacuation technicians were trained and evaluated on how they responded to both medical and aircraft emergencies while evacuating sick or wounded personnel from combat zones. The 514th AES is located at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., and the 77th ARS is assigned to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C. Both units are with the Air Force Reserve Command.
