Lynn Hay, Assistant Director of Operations for the 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, explains the air medical evacuation process to Invictus Games Toronto 2017 Team Canada members Cpl. (retired) Chris Klodt, and co-captain Maj. Simon Mailloux, who were both medically evacuated to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center after being wounded in battle. Canada’s Minister of Veteran Affairs Honourable Kent Hehr and his Deputy Minister General (Retired) Walter Natynczyk joined the visit to Ramstein and LRMC. The Canadians visited Ramstein Air Base and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Aug. 15, 2017 to bring the Invictus Games torch along on its journey from Afghanistan to Canada for the Invictus Games Opening Ceremony in Toronto Sept. 23.
