Col. Timothy Hudson, Commander, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center addresses a large crowd gathered at LRMC, Aug. 15, 2017 for the symbolic arrival of the Invictus Games Spirit Flame from Afghanistan to Germany, making a similar journey many LRMC patients make after being wounded in battle. "LRMC is just one part of the overall care experience for wounded warriors," said Hudson. "We have people working here today who have served on the front lines as medics, surgeons working in a Combat Support Hospital in theater, providers who continue care for patients back in the States. We are all working on the same team and LRMC has the honor of representing Army Medicine, taking great care of one service member at a time."
