Canada’s Minister of Veteran Affairs Honourable Kent Hehr addresses a large crowd gathered at LRMC, Aug. 15, 2017 for the symbolic arrival of the Invictus Games Spirit Flame from Afghanistan to Germany, making a similar journey many LRMC patients make after being wounded in battle. Two former patients from Canada, Invictus Games Toronto 2017 Team Canada co-captain Maj. Simon Mailloux and teammate Cpl. (retired) Chris Klodt brought the flame to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, where they were treated after being wounded in battle.
