170728-N-LC424-245 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 28, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Anuradha Figueroa, a native of Queens, New York, assigned to the Deck department aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), practices a mock takedown on Senior Chief Culinary Specialist Garrett Richards, a native of Salem, Oregon, assigned to Pearl Harbor’s Supply department, during a security reaction force training exercise on the ship’s flight deck. Pearl Harbor, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
