Three U.S. Army soldiers in Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) uniforms are handling an American flag at a flagpole. The soldier on the left, identified by nametape as 'BAILEY', is attaching or detaching the flag from the halyard using a snap hook. The other two soldiers, one identified as 'PHIPPS', are holding and supporting the folded flag during what appears to be a flag raising or lowering ceremony.

Sgt. 1st Class David M. Bailey, Sgt. Tyler A. Smith and Spc. Blake W. Phipps, Boone, Iowa residents and soldiers in Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, prepare the U.S. flag to be flown Tuesday for a patch ceremony held at Bagram Airfield here. The unit flew the City of Boone, Iowa flag to recognize their support of the citizen soldiers that are stationed there when not deployed.
