Nelson Cuba, from Bronx, N.Y., assigned to Special Purpose, Marine Air Ground Task Force, checks in patients from Suriname as they prepare to receive medical care aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nations to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance in eight countries.
