Louisiana Army Guardsmen from the 225th Engineer Brigade practice animal rescue procedures during the state of Louisiana’s Disaster Response Exercise at the Bonnet Carre Spillway in St. Charles Parish, April 1, 2017. The Louisiana National Guard's ability to respond quickly to emergency situations is essential to saving lives and protecting property. By conducting simulated air, water and ground search and rescue operations, the LANG is ensuring that its Soldiers and Airmen are prepared to move and execute when disaster strikes.
