Louisiana Army National Guardsman, Sgt. Christopher Storer, a heavy equipment operator with the 2225th Multi-Role Bridge Company, 225th Engineer Brigade, learns how to deflate the Tiger Dam flood control system during the state of Louisiana’s Disaster Response Exercise in St. Charles Parish, April 1, 2017. The Louisiana National Guard's ability to respond quickly to emergency situations is essential to saving lives and protecting property. By conducting simulated air, water and ground search and rescue operations, the LANG is ensuring that its Soldiers and Airmen are prepared to move and execute when disaster strikes. This Disaster Response Exercise also allows us to further refine our coordination efforts with local, state and federal agencies. (U.S. Army National Guard photo photo by Sgt. Renee Seruntine)
