CAPU MIDIA, Romania (March 21, 2017)— U.S. Marine Gunnery Sgt. Santana Jimenez, platoon Sgt. with tank platoon, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Casa Grande, Arizona native, poses for a portrait at Capu Midia training grounds in Romania, during exercise Spring Storm 2017, March 21. The purpose of this exercise is to provide U.S. amphibious forces with operational training with our Romanian Allies in order to enhance interoperability and strengthen our enduring partnership. The 24th MEU is currently deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
