AT SEA (September 12, 2016) – A Marine with Maritime Raid Force, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, clears the engine room of a simulated enemy vessel as part of a Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure mission conducted off the coast of San Clemente Island, California, Sept. 12, 2016. The VBSS mission was done as part of the 11th MEU’s Certification Exercise, the final major exercise in their pre-deployment training period cycle prior to their Western Pacific 16-2 deployment.
