First Sgt. George Hollingsworth, first sergeant for Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, calls roll during a memorial ceremony only to hear silence when Sgt. Ronald A. Rodriguez’ name was called. Rodriguez was a field artillery cannoneer assigned to India Battery, 1st Battalion, 11th Marines. Rodriguez was killed in action, Aug. 23. He was 26-years-old.
