A technician or maintenance worker is inspecting a large aircraft engine at night using a bright handheld light source. The scene is set on what appears to be a military or commercial airfield, with distant runway or facility lights visible in the foggy background. The intense lens flare from the work light dominates the composition, partially silhouetting the worker against the engine nacelle.

A 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron maintainer begins an E-3 Sentry post-flight inspection after a sortie in support of Combined Joint Task force-Operation Inherent Resolve at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Jan. 12, 2017. During CJTF-OIR the E-3 Sentry has provided a real-time picture of the battle space for multi-national Coalition aircraft working to weaken and destroy Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant operations in the Middle East region and around the world. Since Oct. 2016, the E-3s have assisted in more than 400 precision guided strikes against ISIS. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Tyler Woodward)
