A 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew repairs an E-3 Sentry engine at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Jan. 12, 2017. “This is a huge effort,” 380 EAMXS section chief Master Sgt. Gary said. “Changing an engine is an 18-hour job and these guys usually knock it out in about 12-16 hours.” During CJTF-OIR the E-3 Sentry has provided a real-time picture of the battle space for multi-national Coalition aircraft working to weaken and destroy Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant operations in the Middle East region and around the world.
