Lt. Col. Jeff Ragusa, 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron pilot, demonstrates to students from Bonaire how the Hurricane Hunters fly through hurricanes and collect weather data for the National Hurricane Center in Miami. More than 1,500 locals toured the WC-130J, which was on display as part of the CHAT April 22, 2015. The outreach program began in the 1970's and is a joint effort between National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Hurricane Center and the 403rd Wing's 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron. The event promotes hurricane awareness and preparedness throughout the Caribbean region. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Marnee A.C. Losurdo)
