Irish Defence Forces Sgt. Philip Cole participates in a combat fitness test with U.S. Marine Corps drill instructor school class 1-17 on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island on Nov. 9, 2016. Philip attended the class to gain a better understanding of how the U.S. Marine Corps conducts values based training for recruits, officers, and drill instructors in order to improve how the Irish Defence Forces conduct recruit training and to further strengthen relations between the two Nation’s militaries.
