MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 20, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Elijah Strukely conducts maintenance on a Phalanx close-in weapons system aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55). Strukely serves as a fire controlman aboard Stout and helps maintain weapons systems. Stout, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
