After just under a 60-second decent, a U.S. Army paratrooper parachutes onto the Donnelly Drop Zone near Delta Junction, Alaska, Oct. 12, 2016. The jump featured nearly 700 paratroopers, primarily from 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, and the Spartan Brigade headquarters element, exiting an array of nine C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft from the U.S. Air Force, Royal New Zealand Air Force, and Republic of Korea Air Force.
