U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers of the 983rd Engineering Battalion worked on five construction projects designed to improve infrastructure during the unit’s annual training hosted by Crane Army Ammunition Activity located on Naval Support Activity Crane. The 983rd Engineering Battalion’s main line of effort during their time at Crane Army involved the rails to road project. In total the project required the removal of over 2,000 feet of railroad tracks. Converting the rails to roads will provide CAAA with easier access to magazines that were previously only accessible by rail.
