Recruits from Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, perform an active victim rescue during the Water Survival Intermediate Qualification at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Aug. 10. Recruits used a pack to stay afloat and carry another recruit acting as the victim. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Lima Company is scheduled to graduate October 7.
