John Braziel, III, of Lynchburg, Va., uncase the colors at a formal transfer of authority ceremony at Contingency Operating Base Adder to symbolize the transfer of authority to Task Force Overlord in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The 1/116th is currently deployed with the Louisiana National Guard's 1-141st Field Artillery Battalion, 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team to provide convoy escort teams to assist in setting conditions for the future drawdown of U.S. Troops and equipment in Iraq.
