U.S. Marines and Tongan Soldiers patrol through the jungle, July 26, 2016, on Motutapu Island, Tonga, during a multi-national, bilateral exercise as part of Task Force Koa Moana’s deployment in the Asia-Pacific region. The service members started with classes and static ranges, moving toward kinetic, live-fire ranges, incorporating engineers and assaultmen using explosives to breach obstacles, with assistance from combat rubber raiding crafts to operationalize USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2), to increase interoperability and relations. The Marines with the task force are originally assigned to I and III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. William Hester/ Released)
