Army Pfc. Marcos, a native of Santa Teresa, New Mexico, and his fellow Army Reserve MP specialists conducted patrols, directed traffic and helped patrons during this public event that attracted thousands of American and Japanese citizens to Camp Zama to celebrate America’s 240th year of independence. Approximately 25 Soldiers from the 313th MP Detachment, 366th MP Detachment and the 382nd MP Detachment also attended classes, earned certifications, participated in training events, and performed real-world missions as part of their units’ first ever three-week Annual Training period in Japan.
