PACIFIC OCEAN (May 13, 2016) Hospital Corpsman 2nd class Rhonda Cataline, native of Shelbyville, Illinois, shows Hospitalman Thomas Lacy, native of Parker, Colorado, how to check a casualty’s breathing during a Tactical Combat Casualty Care course aboard USNS Mercy (T-AH 19). Mercy is currently deployed in support of Pacific Partnership; this year's mission is designed to emphasize multilateral cooperation and building mutual trust in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Medical, engineering and various other personnel embarked aboard Mercy will work side-by-side with host and partner nation counterparts, exchanging ideas, building best practices and relationships to ensure preparedness should disaster strike.
