160516-N-KH151-079 YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 17, 2016) Personnel Specialist 2nd Class Bianca Bertucci (SW, AW, IDW) from Chicago, poses for a photo on the quarterdeck of the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Bertucci is the admin leading petty officer at Reagan Ranch. "I like my job; I think it's cool," said Bertucci. "Reagan Ranch is the first impression new check-ins get of the ship. We have them go through indoctrination, basic damage control, AOB (area orientation brief) and all their basic NKOs (Navy Knowledge Online courses). We also take care of their travel and pay, and help them transition into their new home with their families." Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
