Iraqi policemen, Sami Naji Anezy and Mensur Noori Sherqy, are congratulated by U.S. Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class William Dufault, a platoon sergeant with 747th Military Police Company attached to 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division (Advise and Assist Brigade), and a linguist for preventing the detonation of a vehicle-born improvised explosive device (at left) outside the Iraqi police Al Qaim District Headquarters, Dec. 12, 2009, in Husayba, Iraq. The two policemen shot and killed the VBIED driver Nov. 22, protecting the DHQ, as well as 1,200 children in nearby schools, a farmer's cooperative and several residences.
