Col. Scott Naumann, commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, and Command Sgt. Maj. Timothy Rose, the brigade command sergeant major uncased the Warrior Brigade's colors at a transfer of authority ceremony in Baghdad, Iraq, Sept. 17, 2015. The unit assumed responsibility for the Advise and Assist mission from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. Task Force Warrior is scheduled for a nine-month deployment where its members will work shoulder-to-shoulder with their Iraqi partners and a multination coalition to degrade and ultimately defeat the threat posed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
