POOG, Philippines (July 20, 2015) Utilitiesman 3rd Class Mary Molina, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, works alongside fellow engineers assigned to the Philippine Army 53rd Engineering Brigade while building classrooms for Poog Elementary School. The Seabees assigned to NMCB 5’s Construction Civic Action Detail (CCAD) Cebu, Philippines are constructing school houses at Poog Elementary School and Aloguinsan Elementary School, which will serve more than 2,000 students after the additions are completed. The CCAD's mission is to execute engineering civic assistance projects, conduct skills exchanges with the host nation, and perform community relations events to help enhance shared capabilities and maintain relationships.
